About the Artist
Michelle Jacobs
I am a Toronto-based, Jewish artist with a strong passion for art and Jewish life. I began creating more Jewish-themed art back in 2021, and sold my first painting in 2024. In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and hunting for the perfect London fog at my favourite coffee shops.
My vision is to bring more creativity, colour and joy into people's lives - and more specifically, Jewish joy.

Inspiration
My art is deeply rooted in my Jewish identity and the cultural narratives that shape my life. Growing up, I was immersed in the stories, traditions, and symbols of my Jewish identity, and these elements continue to shape my creative expression. Drawing on the history and traditions of my heritage, as well as the art history I studied in university, my work explores themes of memory, identity, and connection. I blend personal experience with a broader exploration of visual culture, creating pieces that invite reflection and conversation. Each piece is an expression of the intersection between my background, my experiences, and my artistic vision.
